Podcast #4

Well it's almost the end of the semesterhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif and time for our final podcast. This one was once again pretty easy to do. I did stupidly clap in one part but I forgot to film a new clip so oh well. It went pretty smoothly while filming, I had to do a little more editing than I had hoped, but that's how it goes sometimes.

So here it is... Podcast #4

Podcast #3

We're back again for another great podcasting session. This video was pretty easy to shoot and edit. The only bad part being that I was sick when I shot some of it. I noticed also while editing that the lighting for my new footage was somewhat bad, I should have opened some windows to let a little sun in. Aside from that I didn't have to do much editing since I got most of the stuff done in a one take. The problem with this editing session was that I had too much footage and had to cut out some parts that I did want in it. Anyways I guess that is a good problem to have when you are making a video.

So here is podcast #3, enjoy.

Podcast #2 Experience

Well it's time for podcast 2 and I can definitely say the save motto learned from last time was used. Shooting the video was still pretty easy, editing was also a breeze this time. I learned a couple of things about shooting a computer screen that will be helpful for the third podcast. If you are shooting by a door that is open, close it when on dark screens to make the appearance better. Besides that the process was quick and simple, minus a few days of frustration simply trying to get to an open lab that had the software that I needed. I hope you all enjoy the second podcast in our four part series!

Movie making experience

For this first podcast there was one word of advice I wish I had listened to: SAVE!!! After shooting the video and getting some photos, which was fun and pretty easy, I worked on editing and then when I'm 8 seconds away from my goal...CRASH and away flies my work. Thankfully it only took me a couple of hours to reload some of the video, extract audio again, create titles and so on. I definitely have a better feel for iMovie now that the project is done. I had done some video work before and edited using Windows Movie Maker, but I have had a much better experience with iMovie. Some things I learned as far as shooting video is to check the audio and use a mic if possible for interview sections. Aside from that, saving is the best thing you can do when editing your footage.
